Get the look: Celebrity Halloween hair

Embrace the spirit of Halloween not just with your fancy dress costume but by creating a gloriously ghostly hairstyle; whether it be a zombie, a gothic princess or a feisty vampire let us inspire your look this Halloween.
Here are some of our favorite looks and we asked celebrity hairdresser mark Woolley, the creative director of the Electric Hairdressing brand for simple step-by-step guides on how to achieve these spookily creative looks.

Wet-look chic gothic
A slick, heavily-parted style can look very gothic (check out Nicole Richie rocking the gothic trend here). To create the look, simply apply a wet-look gel through the roots and smooth it back into the style you want to go with. The wet-look is so versatile - you can use it for a simple up-do, a pinned bun, a ponytail or just slick back loose hair whatever your length. To finish secure with a firm fix hairspray to keep your wet-look look stable and glossy.
For this vampire bouffant à la Miley Cyrus start by working some extra hold styling mousse into damp hair and with a dryer blast hair upwards away from your head adding lift and volume. Once dry apply some dry shampoo into the roots, after back combing the hair at the roots you can then choose to leave your hair loose or into a long ponytail, twisting and securing the hair with grips. To achieve a back-combed look like Mary-Kate Olsen, first work some mousse into damp hair and with a hairdryer blast hair upwards away from your head to add lift and volume. Once hair is dry, apply a little shaping paste to add grip and texture. Once you have played around with the hair to get it looking unruly, brush the hair out to break up the roots a little. Finally to take the back combed look to a different level apply a generous spray of dry shampoo and really work yours fingers to the hair to get maximum volume and texture.
