Obama asks for “retweets”!

The American government shutdown has been the talk of the hour on social media channels, including Twitter, where related hashtags such as #shutdown managed to trend by users discussing the situation from various angles.


One Twitter user however is deeply upset by the shut down, and is campaigning for virtual back up. This user is Barack Obama, whose “Retweet if you want this #shutdown to end.” tweet might have seemed a little too desperate for the president.
