Roasted Bananas with Cream

Ingredients:

6 bananas

2 – 3 tbsp butter

¼ cup brown sugar


2 tbsp lemon juice

Pinch of grated nutmeg (optional)

½ cup whipping cream

 Directions:

Peel bananas and cut lengthwise in half. Arrange bananas to make a layer that completely covers a baking dish. Cut butter into very thin slices. Arrange butter slices over bananas in baking dish. Sprinkle sugar then lemon juice. Sprinkle nutmeg on surface. Heat oven to 180 – 190 C. Put dish in oven for 35 – 40 minutes or until surface becomes golden brown. Add whipping cream on top and serve immediately.


Note: You can add vanilla ice cream instead of whipping cream.
