Obscenely decadent concierge requests

Ed Sol-Getty-The best luxury hotel concierges are like real-life genies or fairy godmothers. Poised to pull rabbits out of hats at a moment's notice, they can make the seemingly impossibly happen, granting the most outlandish of wishes for their ultra-demanding, super-rich clients, without batting an eyelid. From the weird to the wonderful, prepare yourself for some serious excess and click on the gallery for our pick of most outrageous requests.

, Ed Sol-Gstaad Palace-The Gstaad Palace concierge team are no strangers to OTT requests. To help a vertically-challenged guest get a better view out of the windows, they organised for his suite to be heightened by 30cm. Another guest wanted his suite totally covered in silk bed sheets for some unknown reason.

Ed Sol-Gstaad Palace-And here's another from the Gstaad palace: a recent guest hired a helicopter to fly herself and her entourage to the nearby Wasserngrat mountain restaurant. When she noticed she'd forgotten her gloves, the helicopter just flew back.

Ed Sol-Brown’s Hotel, London-Simon Thomas, Head Concierge at Brown’s Hotel and his team were asked by a guest to arrange for 23 deer to be transported from an estate in the UK to the Middle East. Unfazed by the request, the deer were delivered to their destination safe and sound within days.
