2013 Primetime Emmy Awards: Breaking Bad wins outstanding drama

Rex-The Primetime 2013 Emmy Awards produced a number of surprising results, but perhaps the least shocking was show-of-the-moment Breaking Bad winning Outstanding Drama over the likes of Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Homeland, House of Cards and Mad Men.  Rex-Well. This was totally unexpected. The Newsroom's Jeff Daniels won his first Emmy at the expense of Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Damian Lewis (Homeland) and Kevin Spacey (House of Cards).

 Rex-Homeland'sClaire Danes proved once again that an actress has to be truly outstanding to beat her. She emerged triumphant over Connie Britton (Nashville), Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey), Kerry Washington (Scandal) and Robin Wright (House of Cards).
