Jack Nicholson retirement rumours false?

A source close to movie megastar Jack Nicholson has revealed to NBC that the rumours of his retirement due to memory-loss is untrue.

Jack Nicholson is not retiring from acting according to sources close to the star, who was rumoured to be stepping down from the big screen.

Star magazine in the US and Radar Online reported that the Oscar-winning actor and star of The Shining, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest may have appeared in his final film.

"There is a simple reason behind his decision - it's memory loss," a source told Radar.
But one source said to be close to the Hollywood legend was reported to have told NBC News that the reports were not true.

An unnamed source said the star is "actively reading scripts and is looking forward to his next project".
The star has won three Oscars, for As Good As It Gets in 1998, Terms Of Endearment in 1984 and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest in 1976.

His last big-screen appearance was in How Do You Know in 2010.
MSN has contacted Jack's representatives and we are currently waiting for a response.
