Lahore: Kot Lakhpat Jail security reinforced after attack threats

LAHORE: After receiving threats of a Dera-Ismael-Khan-jailbreak like attack, the security has been fortified at Central Jail Lahore also known as Kot Lakhpat jail, Geo News reported.

According to the sources, hundreds of additional police and elite force commandoes were being deployed inside and around the prison facility.

They further added that prison authorities scrambled these security measures after unknown callers claiming to be representatives of Taliban and al-Qaeda threatened to attack the prison over the phone.
All roads leading to the jail have been blocked as a security measure.
