Emaar Dubai presents for the first time in the Middle East, a one of a
kind fashion experience. For all you fashionistas out there, get ready
to witness this spectacular event held at Dubai Mall on the 10th
of October 2013. Eight upcoming designers — Wadah Al Hajri from Qatar,
Mohammad Ashi from Kuwait, Razan Alazzouni from Saudi Arabia, Lulwa Al
Amin from Bahrain, Ituen Basi from Nigeria, Simone Rocha from Ireland,
Andrea Incontri from Italy and Esme Vie from Russia —
will come together to showcase their designs in Dubai Mall’s Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience. “The Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience — the largest and first of its kind fashion event in the region — will put the spotlight on the city, underlining its credentials as a global fashion destination. Alongside, it will also serve as a catalyst to promote young design talent,” said Mohammad Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties in a press statement. “The unprecedented industry experience that awaits the participants will serve as an inspiration for the young designers, and further enable Dubai to set new trends in the global fashion scene.” Other ideas were pitched to be in line with the major fashion experience where some stores will modify their window displays to be Vougue-ish, 50 popular Vogue covers will be showcased in the Grand Atrium, and Vogue Italia editor in chief Franca Sozzani will be holding a mentorship programme. 250 international brands will be participating in this free event starting at 6 pm till 3 am where proceeds from the event will go to the Dubai Cares Foundation.
