What is democracy? What is freedom? What is freedom of expression?
Let me tell you what I have learned about those three things. After
many, many years of contemplation and observation I have found that no
human, nor any country or society, government or kingdom can ever
succeed or grow in a healthy manner, without first recognizing the
freedom of all rights of it’s fellow citizen’s existence.
This must be precisely why we keep falling and failing; because we refuse to help each other become who really are genuinely. We don’t want to help each other become better, at least not better than our own selves.
Yes, in order to recognize and exercise your own freedom, you must first recognize that of all other humans on this earth. And I believe only through that will you then learn to respect others and have them respect you back. What is freedom if you do not allow it to anyone else but yourself? Why on earth would you want to live on a planet where everyone is caged but you? These are the thoughts of sick, corrupt minds that are so greedy and so afraid of vanishing in between the lights of others that they decide to keep them down, shut out and weak.
So they try to prevent certain individuals from education, food, money, work, and anything really that might keep them alive. Anything that might give them hope, or make them feel like decent human beings.
It’s sad, that we choose to see others the way we want to see them, not the way they choose to be seen, which must be much more beautiful in reality. The way a person chooses to live and portray theirselves is in itself art. There’s something I always say and now live by and it goes something like this; “In everyone I meet, I never fail to see something insanely beautiful about them. In fact I find flaws to be the most appealing kind of beauty. So what others might want to hide, I find very alluring.” If we can learn to accept one another, and learn to deal with the each other the way we wish to be dealt with, the world, in my opinion, would be a much more peaceful and civilized place for us to live in.
And I guess accepting others so peacefully can only come through accepting yourself, and managing to acquire inner peace, but if there’s no inner peace.. There will never be peace. You must acknowledge that there's more beauty around you than there will ever be within, that there's a brilliant theory to each person's beauty that you come across, in order to one day see something genuinely good in yourself. And only then can the world nourish us into civilization.
