Road to Lisbon Begins!

Today ( Sept.17th) the UEFA Champions League group stage kicks off, and all the european champions are working hard for it. The 2014 UEFA Champions League Final will take place at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal on 24 May 2014.

This is the most prestigious club competition in European football. Last year’s tournament was the most-watched annual sporting event worldwide in 2013 and drew 360 million television viewers The champions of the top five leagues have new coaches except the italian champs.
Last season no English team went further than the round of 16. Manchester United lost to Real Madrid (1-2), and Manchester City didn’t even make it out of the group stage as they lost to Dortmund (1-0) with an overall poor performance.
This season, however, this year they are hoping their new manager Manuel Pellegrini will do a remarkable change and hold the team’s name. Also, they recruited  Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fernandinho and Sevilla’s wide-man Jesus Navas.

Manchester United: David Moyes will continue the legacy of Sir Alex Ferguson who won the champions league 2 times with them.
Real Madrid who failed to bring the trophy home ever since 2002 are still worth fearing;  they are the most successful club in the competition's history, having won the tournament nine times. Also, Their new manager, Carlo Ancelotti knows how to win this tournament, as he already won twice with AC Milan (2002/3 & 2006/7). And, let’s not forget the fact that they have the most expensive player, Gareth Bale.
Paris St Germain made the quarterfinals last year and didn’t lose in both matches against Barcelona. However, this time they lost their coach, Ancelotti, who led them last season to their first French league title in 19 years and was named coach of the season in France.
Their new coach Laurent Blanc won the French league title with Bordeaux in 2009 and took over as national team coach the following year. All eyes will be on Edinson Cavani who joined the club from Napoli with the most expensive transfer deal in French football history, a deal worth £55m.
Bayern Munich : The reigning champions will be defending their title with a new coach philosophy. The most successful coach in the Barcelona's history Pep Guardiola  joined the club when Heynckes’ contract expired this summer.
Juventus:
Hopes are really high for the italian champs after winning their second consecutive Seria Awith their manager Antonio Conte, and we are pretty sure he will he make advantage of his new transfers Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.
