Al-Masry Al-Youm Sinai correspondent referred to military court on charges of reporting false news about the army

Al-Masry Al-Youm Sinai correspondent, Ahmed Abu Draa,was referred to the Central Military Court.He was charged with deliberately reporting false news to Arab and Egyptian news agencies about the internal situation of the country as well as the armys anti-terrorism operations in Sheikh Zuweid village.


 The military believes such reports are weakening confidence in the state and tarnishing its prestige.The first court session will be held on Sunday.Abu Draa is also charged with entering a restricted military zone without permit and taking pictures of the Suez Canal.Edited translation from Al-Masry Al-Youm
